Pros and cons of Math Ref app for iPhone and iPad

Math Ref app good for

Loutil de calcul Projectile Motion Solver ne permet pas de saisir des données. Sinon, cest un application très utile pour les amateurs de mathématiques. Testé sur iPad 2 64 Go Wifi sous iOs 7.0.4 The Projectile Motion Solver does not permit to enter data. Otherwise, this is a very useful application for those who love math. Tested on iPad 2 64GB Wifi on iOs 7.0.4
Im studying mech engg at the university of Calgary and this is the most useful app I have ever found! Thank you!
This app is great! But it would be amazing if it had an integral or derivative calculater!
This app is very useful. Id really like it if you could include a section on limits with info on lhopitals rule - I keep forgetting it and it keeps popping up in my courses! I also cant wait for the search feature. Thanks a lot for making this!
Im a 2nd year physics/astronomy student in university. This app is well worth $0.99 and will be well used. A great substitute to digging through old text books or course notes for that formula/identity you cant quite exactly remember. Every physics/engineering/chemistry/computer science/math student should be issued this app along with their text books. Looking forward to the update, perhaps adding some astrophysical formula in there as well?
As a substitute math teacher, Ive used this to refresh my memory on many occasions. Well worth 99 cents.

Some bad moments

I am styding for an math exam and was looking for an app to aid me. I am at universaty and only looked into the "big" math stuff and the "childsplay" stuff. - same of basic stuff, which you easyly forget but def to little for a ref - sections are not homogen, for expample you expect a list of diffs/integrations which app has however they apper sepperat or with equations itself, which is inconsistent - could be way more in this lists - exapmles are only few and mostly only easy ones, not the intressting ones - some topics missing like complex numbers - no tip/tricks for most of the topic like what different easy way there is to do something instead of the normal way - LA etc: way to little information and same must have equations totaly missing like det off an nxn matrix with n greater 3 or how to calc a signature or T and D of a matrix All in all this app is pretty much worthless to me. I have about same amount of pages stuffed with equation, examples, tricks and alternative solutions just for LA & complex numbers. And they contain about twice as much infornation and I consider them a poor, just bearly enough summary which makes this ref pretty much worthless at least for higher edu. I also consider myself average at best at math and this ref didnt had any highlights what so ever in it. I also think an real training app would be much better then just the ref here, but this is not a minus for this app, since this here is what it said it would be.
Ok, the price is cheap and fair. But the app is not really useful. I think for me itll be better to take photos of a formula book and store it in my iPhone.
The developer of this app is not familiar with math. Some equations are wrong. Definitions that involve more than just copying a formula from a textbook are nonsense! Just look at the entries under algorithms or physics. Do not buy!
This is by far one of the worse apps ever. The developer did nothing more than take a few images off a search and pasted them into this fly by night program. Entire sections like trig offer only a single very poor image. The program it self is very poorly scripted with bad interface and redundant setting with not a single bit of information that is not already aviable for free via any search engine.
This app is useful for a grade 12 student. The table of integrals is what anyone should know after taking calculus 2. No definite integrals, very few trig identities. Worse than that, there are no hyperbolic identities. I think this says enough. If youre looking to replace Schaums this is NOT it.
As a computer engineering student and math tutor, I find myself using this app all the time. Ive recommended it to multiple friends who have also loved it. The layout is very smooth and the presentation is appealing. Its also fairly intuitive to find what Im looking for. As to improvements, I would really really like to see a section where I can add my own equations and categorize then for easy access. If it had keyboard that allowed me to access some of the special characters such as the Greek alphabet that would be nice too. I would also like to see a slightly easier to read format on some of the equations as they tend to spill over to the new line which makes it a bit hard to read. Other than that, well done guys. A beautiful app!
